The Upbeats Music Duo are an exciting, energetic party duo comprising Rachel Manchester on vocals and woodwind alongside Peter Manchester on vocals and guitars. Whilst working as Professional Actors in the West End and all over the country, in shows such as: Les Miserables, The Crucible, 20th Century Boy, and in theatres including: the Royal Albert Hall, the o2, the Palladium, the Barbican and many more; The Upbeats Duo have been performing together for over 10 years at Private Events, Parties, Weddings and Corporate Functions all over the UK. For the past five years they have been travelling the world performing on cruise ships. During that time, they have worked with a number of well known clients including P&O, NCL, Ponant and Windstar Cruises, and are incredibly proud of the 5 star reputation they have built up. Rachel and Peter are a fun, professional and reliable duo, with a repertoire of over 600 songs, in styles ranging from Jazz Standards to Motown, and from 70’s disco to Modern Pop and Party Hits. Subsequently, they are always ready to play the right music for the occasion; be it wedding, birthday, corporate party or anything else! The Upbeats Duo are highly skilled multi-instrumentalists as well as professionally trained singers, meaning they perform great covers of all your favourite classics with beautifully arranged vocal harmonies!

The Upbeats's FAQ
1. Do you have different line-up options?
Our lineup is usually always a duo. But don't worry, although we're small in number... we sound massive. And once we're playing you won't believe the sound we make even though we're just a duo!
2. What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We're very flexible as to your timings. Please let us know what you have in mind and we'll make sure that our performances fit in perfectly.
3. Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Of course, we do provide playlist music between our sets for free to keep everyone in the mood. However, if you would like the party to carry on into the late hours, we can provide a DJ service after our performances finish, and simply charge an additional £100.
4. How much time do you need to set up?
At a minimum, we require 45 minutes to set up. Generally, we often set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we provide a free playlist service to help to get your guests ready for your party and to get them ready for our live performance!
5. Can you roam around while you perform?
Unfortunately, as Peter plays guitar and uses many pedals to provide drums, bass and tracks, we don't work as a roaming duo.
6. Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
We love your input! Of course, we have many years of experience and our sets have been honed from countless performances, learning what works best to ensure guests get on the dancefloor and have an amazing time. However, if you have ideas and input, we're very happy to chat through your preferred genres and make sure we find what works for your event!
7. Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Our PA for 150 people and a small lighting system is included in your quote. As there is only two of us we require only minimum of 2m by 2m to perform
8. Can you learn song requests before the event?
If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn, then let us know... generally we are happy to do this for you. However, there is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times
