T-Junction's FAQ
1. Will your equipment fit into my venue?
Yes. Our state of the art sound and light show can be scaled up or down according to requirements. We have played in a wide range of locations, from small and intimate such as the Roman Camp in Callander up to larger venues, eg. Gleneagles.
2. When will the band arrive?
For an 8pm start, the whole band will arrive together at 6:45pm. We will then set up our equipment while the hotel staff are turning the room around in preparation for the evening reception.
3. How long will you play/How long is the Ceilidh set?
The band will perform over a four-hour time period (usually 8-12), although we are flexible to your requirements. The band will break only once, usually during the evening buffet (around 10 pm). we offer up to 20 minutes of Ceilidh.
4. Do you play music before, during, or after your performance?
Interval music will be played from 7.30pm by our onsite Sound & Lighting engineer prior to the first waltz, during the buffet break. You can also use our DJ add-on service if you would like the party to continue after midnight. If you have some of your favourite music in mind, (ie your own playlist/ipod) this can also be accommodated.
5. Can I choose a first dance song which is not on your set list?
This is usually no problem. The band will always learn the first dance if we feel we can do the song justice, however, if the track you choose is unusual and quite obscure, we will be happy to source the track and play it for you through our professional sound system.
6. How will you bring my evening to a close?
At the end of your evening we will ask your guests to come together, circling the dance floor around the bride and groom to give thanks for a wonderful day while the band perform a finale (examples include Runrig's Loch Lomond).
7. Will the band require a meal?
Not necessarily as we are there to work. However, if having travelled a long distance to a venue, we may be partial to a snack during our break (around 10 pm) after your guests have been catered for.
8. Will you be able to reach my venue in bad weather conditions?
Yes, The band have modern reliable 4x4 transport and have never missed a wedding or any event in over 20 years.
9. Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. As a full-time professional band and members of the Musician's Union we are fully insured for public liability (up to 10 million pounds) All of our equipment is PAT-tested annually.
